if eternity was a bridge
i would call out to you
to come join me
by the banks, near the stream

i would write you a letter,
filling it with all my hopes and dreams
voice it out to the winds,
hoping you would hear it sing

across the banks would be you and me
if time had to stop
then ill stop it at a moment of us

if letters held a tear
then tears ive cried many
if each prayer asked for peace
then peace ive got none.

would you meet me halfway through its end?

when the bridge breaks away?

the stream of my hope does flow
like water through my toes that soak
a conscious soul is a boat that floats
across the strait of life and beauty
